August 22nd marked the beginning of GSSD’s 10th Season and we’re celebrating dance in a big way this year! We have lots of exciting things planned for this season, including a Master Class by “The Lion King”, Performances at local festivals and senior centers, competitions and Nationals in Chicago for the dance company! GSSD company dancers participated this past weekend at the Hall of Fame Dance Challenge. In addition to earning Platinum for the Senior Hip Hop “Work” and 2nd place overall in the teen division, we also received several judges choice awards for “Ain’t No Other Man” (Precision Award) “Toy Story” (Best Costume), “Freeze Frame” (Fabulous Feet) and “Get Up Offa That Thing” and “Some Days You Gotta Dance”  (Showmanship Awards).  Congratulations dancers!! W/S Semester at GSSD starts January 3rd, 2011. We are looking forward to an awesome new year! Coming up soon are Hall of Fame Competition in February, Showstopper Competition in April and our May Recitals the 20th-22nd at the Pinnacle…get excited people!
